Stephanie McMahon is standing in the set for her personal interview segment. She announces that tonight's guest is Kurt Angle, who comes out from the back. They do a straight interview about what Angle is planning to do in the near future. Angle announces the Kurt Angle invitational, where he will defend the WWE Heavyweight Championship on every show until SummerSlam, and promises to retain it until then against Triple H.

During The Match: Goldust gets slammed onto a trash can, squashing it. Face jam onto the table. Billy Gunn comes running down the aisle and onto the apron! Goldust turns...and is dropped throat-first onto the top rope by Bad Ass! Billy Gunn has left Goldust in big trouble. Goldust is in trouble. Alabama Slam!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! Physical Perfection are beating down on Goldust! The music of Big Show hits, and he comes running down the aisle into the ring. Hardcore and Bad Ass bail out of the ring, leaving Goldust down in the ring. Big Show may have saved Goldust from a brutal beating.

A-Train has left Hall down and bloodied.

Kurt Angle climbs each turnbuckle in turn, working the crowd as he celebrates his victory

Scott Steiner walks off, having won this battle.

Match Background: This will be a hardcore bout. This is a semi-final match in the WWE Hardcore Championship #1 Contender Tournament.
During The Match: A-Train smashes a Playstation console over the head of Hall. Should have used an X-Box, they're much bigger. Scott Hall scoop slams A-Train onto and through a table. Mark Henry comes running down the aisle and into the ring! Scott Hall turns around. Mark Henry spins Hall around. Mark Henry hits the World's Strongest Slam! Henry leaves the ring, the damage done! ONE...TWO...THREE. A-Train defeats Hall. A-Train and Henry are beating the hell out of Scott Hall! D-Von Dudley sprints down the aisle and slides into the ring! He goes toe-to-toe with A-Train, exchanging punches! He goes down quickly though when Henry clips the knee from behind! Mayhem Junction put the boots to D-Von Dudley, and leave him down on the canvas next to Scott Hall. What a demolition!

Show Stopper!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn try to beat down Big Show, but end up getting run out of the ring by a furious Big Show. They leave quickly before they end up taking any more punishment.

Mordecai comes over...but Masters goes low! Chris Masters gets up, then goes for the irish whip into the corner, but Mordecai reverses! Chris Masters goes head first into them, knocking him silly! Schoolboy from Mordecai: 1....2....3! The referee never noticed the exposed turnbuckle. Another referee comes running down the aisle, and points out the exposed steel turnbuckle to the assigned official. The referee reverses the decision! He is disqualifying Mordecai for using it to gain an advantage! Masters \ The Bull climb opposite turnbuckles, working the crowd as they celebrate their victory.

Rob Van Dam gets knocked to the ground by Angle. Rob Van Dam gets locked in the Angle Lock! Submission victory! Kurt Angle gives a murderous look toward Val Venis...and attacks! Val gets dropped to the canvas, then battered with a barrage of rights and lefts. Angle picks him up...and launches him over the top rope to the outside. A small measure of revenge has been taken.

Christian and Rhyno continue the beating as Trish Stratus walks down to get some shots in. Living Legends got suckered in.
